Recommended Mounting Bracket For 4-way Trailer Connector On Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch

Question:

Does either the Hopkins HM48755 or Tow Ready 18144 brackets mount directly to the tab provided on this receiver? If not, are there other options that will work so the mounting tab can be utilized without drilling holes or using the hose clamp style mounting brackets?

I went to the warehouse and took some measurements for you to make sure you get the right brackets for your wiring harness.

The tab on the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch, part # 75713 measures 1-1/2 inches x 2-3/4 inches. The holes that are drilled in the mounting tab are 1-3/4 inches center to center.

The # HM48755 outside dimensions are 2-3/8 inches x 3-1/2 inches. This attaches with self-adhesive tape and is not a bolt-on installation.

The Tow-Ready Mounting Bracket, part # 18144 would be your best bet for a 4-way trailer connector mounting since the holes for mounting it are 1-3/4 inches center to center. This bracket comes with the mounting hardware.

I recommend part # 18144 as it would be the easiest to install and the holes line up well with the holes on the tab of the trailer hitch.
