Wiring Up a New 7-Way on Vehicle that Uses Non-Standard Wire Colors
Question:
The colors, of the insulation, on the wires to my 96 Dodge 2500 dont match the wire colors you indicate on your pic of how to wire in a 7 wire plug. Is there another wire color chart available?

Expert Reply:
I wish all trailer wiring harnesses used the same colors but unfortunately they don't and in your case the only solution is to test each of the wires with a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to determine it's function and then wire it to the chart I attached by function.
