Fuse Location for 118378 Tow Ready T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness  

Question:

Where is the fuse for the wiring harness located on the 2002 Toyota Tundra. I have two 2 trailers and all the lights are good I have checked them. However there is no power to the 4 point connector.

The 10 amp fuse for the # 118378 wiring harness is installed in the small yellow fuse holder, located on the smaller portion of the wiring harness that does not have the black converter box.

This part of the harness would be connected underneath the hood of your 2002 Toyota Tundra. You would disconnect your negative battery cable, remove the battery hold down bracket, and slide the battery forward to locate the mating connector on your vehicle between the battery and fender. Remove the cap on the vehicle connector and plug in the wiring harness piece, and then tie wrap the two together to prevent separation.

Sometimes the vehicle will already have a 30 amp fuse and holder installed. If this is the case, remove the existing fuse and holder and use the one included with the # 118378 harness.

Once you have connected the fuse holder wiring to the vehicle plug, you will move your battery back into place and connect the ring terminal on the harness to your positive battery terminal, again using tie wraps for security. To finish, reinstall the battery hold down bracket and insert the included 10 amp fuse into the yellow fuse holder on the harness. Once you reattach the negative battery cable, you would then move to the back of the vehicle to install the second part of the wiring harness, although it sounds like you have already completed this portion of the installation.
