Trailer Hitch Fit Location of Draw Tite 75940 on a 2009 Audi Q7
Question:
Re: 2009 Audi Q7 Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver Class III - 2 Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Code: 75950 When installed, does this hitch sit in the same location as the OEM hitch? I just want to make sure that it actually will be positioned in the same spot as the access panel on the bumper and will project through that rather than under the bumper. Do you have photos of install on a Q7?

When you install the Draw Tite hitch part # 75950 on your 2009 Audi Q7 the hitch opening will be about level with the exhaust tail pipes. The rear fascia will need to be notched out slightly so that it will fit. From the research I did this is the same height as the Audi hitch.
If you wanted to do some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
If the ball mount kit does not include a ball mount with the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, check out the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
For trailer wiring you would then want the part # 119250KIT which is a confirmed fit that does not require any hardwiring to your vehicle taillight harness.
