Will Hopkins Tailgate Assist Fit a 1994 Chevy Silverado K1500 and be Visible

Question:

1994 Chevy Silverado K1500 Fleetside First of all, Im assuming there are no damper-type tailgate down/lifts on the market for my year, make and model truck. Correct? With the Hoppy, is the bar visible from the outside and below the tailgate? Seems to me it should hide behind the outer skin. Also, does the bar affect the installation height of the tailgate? Will the top edge of the tailgate still align with the top edge of the bed? Thanks.

The Hopkins tailgate assist part # 74211 is a confirmed fit for your 1994 K1500 truck. It would not be visible in any way once install either and would not change the height of the tailgate either.

It basically would look and sit just like your current tailgate but when you went to raise or lower it would feel much lighter.
