Does Curt D-26 Ball Mount Fit 2-Inch Receiver
Question:
Expert Reply: I went to our warehouse and took some measurements of part # D-26 for you. The overall length of part # D-26 is 16-1/2 inches. The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the ball mount plate is 8-1/4 inches and to the horizontal plane of the ball mount plate it is 10-1/2 inches. I have attached photos this ball mounts with the dimensions shown you can check out. This ball mount use a hitch ball with a 1-inch shank. For a 2-inch diameter ball I recommend part # 63845. for a 1-7/8 inch ball I recommend part # 19261. expert reply by: Jeffrey L So on part D-26 it will accommodate a 2 inch ball? The trailer we have needs a 2 inch ball. Is the receiving end 2 inches? My truck needs the 2 inch receiving end. Is what you typed out or is the picture correct for the D-26 because the numbers do not match and I need the 8 1/4 distance to clear my bumper. If the D-26 cannot take a 2 inch ball can I get the dimensions for #63845 if it is at least 8 1/4 inches from the center of the pin hole to the perpendicular of the back of the ball mount plate, accomodates a 2 inch ball, and has a 2 inch receiving end?
