How Can I Pull a Fifth Wheel Trailer with My Gooseneck Trailer Hitch
Question:
I currently have a fold down 5th wheel hitch and believe the direction to go is to replace it with a BandW turnover ball and use the BandW Companion to tow my 40 ft Cedar Creek with Lippert kingpin and frame. Can the fold down be converted to a turn over or do I need to redo all the under bed work? The only other option I know of would be to install the pin box designed for goose neck applications.

You are correct that the best route is to use the B&W Companion Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # BWRVK3500 with the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # BWGNRK1108.
There isn't a way to convert your fold down to a turnover and I definitely don't recommend trying to modify your current hitch. The frame brackets and hitch head will have to completely swapped out.
You also mentioned changing your pin box to a Goose Box. This is could be a great option if you have a pin box that is compatible with the goose box. We have two goose boxes available: # RP85FR replaces Lippert 1621 and 1621HD, # RP94716-61301 replaces Lippert 0115, 1116, and 1716.
I've attached a help article that will help you determine the correct one.
