Best Economically Priced Weight Distribution System for KZ Spree 230 RBS
Question:
Can you recommend the best weight distribution/sway under $350? We have KZ Spree 230 RBS UVW: 4410 lbs Dry Hitch Weight: 544 lbs Dry Axle Weight: 3866 lbs NCC: 1590 lbs GVWR: 6000 lbs Drive a 2004 Chevrolet 4.8L, LS Silverado 4x4, I believe the GVWR is 6400 and max tow 7800 lbs. Not sure if you need this. I believe we need the shank not sure on ball size, will have to double check. Id prefer to be able to back up with it on... but not an a deal breaker. Not even sure we need sway as we dont go on highway right now until we get a new truck. Easy install and set up would be good too. Well, hopefully that is everything. Thanks!

The best weight distribution system we offer near the price range you listed is the Reese system part # RP66541. This is a trunnion bar system which is preferred over the round bar systems. As long as your loaded tongue weight falls in the range of this system (400-800 lbs) it would be ideal for you. This system comes with a shank and allows backing up.
The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow. This figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I attached a help article on determining tongue weight for you to check out as well. You will want the loaded tongue weight of your setup to fall right in the middle of the tongue weight range of the system you use.
For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
