Troubleshooting Right Turn Signal Not Functioning But Running Light Works
Question:
I checked and have 12 v coming from the back of my truck, I also unhooked the wire from the trailer light assembly and have 12 v at the wire but as soon as I attach the wire to the light assembly there is no power. This light assembly uses the same ground for the taillight which works so I dont think its the ground. I purchased a new light assembly and still have the same problem. Any advice??

It's a ground issue. I know you said the running lights work on that side, but that circuit draws considerably less than the blinker/stoplight circuit so an insufficient ground will show up there first.
Try improving the ground of the assembly and it should work just fine. If it grounds through the mounting hardware try cleaning off where it attaches or running jumper wires to the ground harness of the trailer.
