why are some motorcycle carriers not recommended for a motorhome?

The only motorcycle carrier we offer that is approved for use on the rear of a motorhome is the Ultra-Fab # UF48-979033.
The carrier has a 500 lb capacity, but you will need to know the weight capacity of the trailer hitch you have on your motorhome.
This carrier has a 39-inch ramp and 5-inch wide track on the carrier. This carrier weighs about 50-lbs so you will want to consider that for the capacity of your hitch as well.
The manufacturer determines if a carrier is capable of being used on a motorhome and with the weight of the carriers sometimes being over 90 lbs itself, that weight plus the weight of a motorcycle just puts too much stress on the carrier and motorhome.
