Distance From Inside Arc Area Of U-Bolt To Threads For U-Bolt Kit Mounting Kit

Question:

I need 1/2inch u-bolt information. If you put the u-bolt in a square with the curved end up in the square, so the threaded ends hang down towards the larger numbers. I Need a 1/2 inch u-bolt separate or in a kit that is threaded up to at least 5 1/8 inch a lower number like 4 1/2 inch is ok, but not a larger number like 5 3/8. Threads that are 5 3/8inch away from the top of the curved part of the u-bolt would not tighten on my axel setup. I was recommended a CE Smith U-Bolt Kit part # CE23003, the threads do not extend up the u-bolt enough, the nuts would not touch the u-bolt plate, they are threaded to 5 3/8 inch from the top of the curved part of the u-bolt. please use a square set them together like Lu. Putting the curved part of the u-bolt into the corner of the square.

I pulled one of the U-bolts we offer from our warehouse and took a quick measurement for you.

The distance from the inside of the inside arced area of the U-bolt, part # CE23003 to the threads on the leg is 4-3/4 inches. The threaded portion is 2 inches.

I also pulled another set of U-bolts, part # APUBR-8 and the measurement from the inside of the arc to the threads is the same 4-3/4 inches as well as the threaded portion being 2 inches. This is a 1/2-20 fine thread U-bolt.
