Question:
i bought the prodigy p2 from etrailer about 4 years ago with a plug for attaching to a 1999 f150. I now have a 1998 3/4 ton suburban. What do I need to hook the P2 up to this new truck? Can I splice the wires to existing wiring under console cor appropriate? I dont see a plug like the f150 to plug into on the suburban. Thanks for the help

Helpful Expert Reply:
Your 1998 Chevrolet Suburban does not have an under-dash brake controller port like your F-150 did so to install your Prodigy P2 # 90885 in the Suburban you'll just use our brake controller installation kit # ETBC7 to hard-wire it. You need to have a working 4-pole harness on the vehicle to do this; if you need a 4-pole flat harness you can use # C55319 which is a plug-and-play part.
The linked video shows the ETBC7 being installed in a 1999 Suburban and a helpful article is included too.
