Best Trailer Hitch Cargo Carrier Recommendation for a 2014 Dodge Durango RT

Question:

Ill keep it short, can someone help me understand the best hitch carrier for a 2014 Durango RT? I was hoping for higher walls...8in.? 60 in wide, 20 or 24 width. Also, does folding mean more problems like noise and strength? I was worried that some do not seem to go very far into the hitch? Thanks

For your Dodge Durango RT that has a hitch like the Draw Tite part # 75713 installed the best hitch carrier for you will be based on what you value.

The most popular option we have is the Curt part # C18151 which I attached a review video for on a similar 2015 Durango as yours. This carrier has walls that are 6-1/2 inches tall, can fold up, and is 659 inch by 24 inches. This has a 500 lb capacity as well. For an all-around carrier this would be an excellent option. I attached a test course video as well that shows how much movement it would have over some speed bumps. The folding mechanism does add a bit of movement but not an excessive amount.
