Could Roadmaster Quiet Hitch be Used with Weight Distribution System

Question:

We have a 2016 Ford Edge with factory installed 2inch hitch. We are towing a camper trailer 1 axel weighing ~ 2700 pounds. The tongue weight is ~ 300 pounds. The trailer came with weight distribution system. Can we use this anti-rattle device? Thanks.

If your Weight Distribution System has been properly set up, there should be no movement of the weight distribution shank in the receiver, as the spring bars should be placing a substantial amount of tension on the shank against the walls of the receiver, thus keeping it firmly in place.

The part # RM-061 would help secure the shank of the system to the hitch opening if you happened to be driving around with the system disengaged.
