How Easy To Install T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness On Scion xB Is It Just Plug And Go
Question:
Just plug and go? Plug into what? I see several plugs, does this adapter require direct connection to the battery? Holes in the firewall? Cables running through vehicle to trailer hitch? I use the trailer only rarely but want to leave this adapter in place. Is this really an easy install that doesnt require another $50 in installation materials? Thanks

The item you selected, T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, part # 118468 plugs directly into the tail light harness of your Scion xB, but does require a ground connection and connecting to the battery. Part # 118468 plugs into the tail light harness at the rear driver side of your vehicle located behind the trim panel. You will plug part # 118468 into the tail light harness then, plug the connector into the tail light.
After plugging in part # 118468 to the tail light harness, you will need to connect a ground wire to the vehicle frame. Then, connect the red wire from the T-Connector Box to the black 12 gauge wire using an included yellow butt connector. After connecting the red wire to the black wire, run the black wire to the engine bay. You will need to disconnect the negative battery terminal. Then with the fuse removed, attach the fuse connector to the positive battery terminal using a ring connector. Then attach the black wire to the fuse holder using the yellow butt connector which is included. Then, reconnect the negative battery terminal and install the 10 amp fuse in the fuse holder. After completing the wiring, you will need to mount the T-Connector box with double sided tape in spot out of the way and on a flat surface.
Yes, this harness is connected to the battery but also has a fuse plugged inline. Part # 118468 will power the lights of your trailer directly from the battery of your vehicle instead of pulling power from the tail light harness of your Scion xB. If the tail lights on the trailer were to short out, the fuse in this kit would blow, instead of the fuse or the lights on your vehicle.
You do not need to make any holes in the firewall.
The install is fairly simple and comes with step by step instructions. There are no other materials needed to install part # 118468. You will just need some basic tools, a drill with a 3/32 inch bit, Phillips Head Screwdriver, test probe, wire cutters with crimper.
I have linked instructions of part # 118468 below.
