Will Front Mounted Receiver Hitch on 2013 Toyota Tundra Need to Be Removed to Change Oil

Question:

Which brand front hitch will not have to be removed to perform oil changes

Neither the Draw-Tite # 65080 nor the Curt # 31198 would in themselves prevent you from changing the oil in your truck. What they will do is prevent you from removing the skid shield, which will block access to the oil filter. You can remove the skid shield entirely and leave it off permanently, or you can cut a 4-5 inch diameter access hole through the skid shield in the area directly under the oil filter.

Because the hitch attachment hardware is meant as a one-time use item, we don't recommend removing the hitch each time the oil is changed.
