It is not a good idea to mix tire construction types on a trailer. What you have now are bias ply tires and the ones you are looking to upgrade to would be radial tires. The different types can lead to uneven tire wear, tracking problems, poor ride quality, and excessive heat build-up for only some of the tires. Ideally you would change all of the tires at the same time.

For an inexpensive radial trailer tire in size ST205/75R14 you can use # TR20514. It is rated for 1,760 pounds at 50 psi. If you wanted to step up to something with better tread I recommend # TR20514 which has the same rating.

I have also included a link to our informational article on trailer tires for you.
