Landing Gear Issues After Replacing Motor, Gear Box And Using Repair Kit

Question:

I recently purchased a repair kit from you for a venture landing gear lead leg. It looks like I purchased the following leg kit instead of the lead leg. All of the parts except for the steel Rod looked the same so I went ahead and used it and reused the existing steel Rod I had. Now my gear box is clicking and wont lift the trailer the gear box and motor I purchased from you about a year ago so they are fairly new as well. Would using the wrong kit on the wrong leg cause this issue and would purchasing the correct kit and swapping them possibly fix it? Thanks for your help

If you have replaced the motor, gear box and now have used the repair kit the problem may be a nut or screw inside the jack leg, or the rod you mentioned.

It can be difficult to find the problem with a landing gear and you may decide to replace the leg or legs of your landing gear. For a replacement lead leg, part # LG-179013, is rated for 3,000-lbs, is a likely fit. The repair kit for the lead leg is part # LG-146059.

The matching follower leg is part # LG-179014.
