Bike Rack Recommendation that Can Safely be Used at the Back of a 5th Wheel Trailer

Question:

What bike rack would you recommend to carry 2-3 bikes on the back of A 30 FT 5TH wheel travel trailer. I had a Thule 2 bike mounted on the spare tire and the bike carrier failed and the arms that hold the bikes broke and the bike were damaged. I have looked at different carriers but am nervous Thanks for your help

There are only certain bike racks that are rated for use at the back of a trailer. None of the Thule bike racks are rated for this application because they are not designed to withstand the additional stress associated with the bumpy ride at the back of a trailer.

I have included a link to the bike racks that are rated for use at the back of a trailer. If your trailer bumper is 4 inches square, steel, and welded the entire length of the bumper then you can use # S80600 which you can position around the spare tire. It holds up to 4 bikes.
