Where Would Fifth Wheel Rails Install in the Bed of a 1993 Chevy 1500 Short Bed
Question:
Hi, I recently purchased a fifth wheel hitch. I have a 1993 Chev 1500 its a rear wheel drive with a 6 foot bed. I wanted to ask if you could please provide me with dimensions of where it should be installed in the bed? Also, what custom kit I would need to install it. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks and have a great day!

The fifth wheel rail kit you would need for your 1993 Chevy 1500 pick up would be the part # RP30035. The rear edge of the rear rail would need to be exactly 26-3/16 inches from the rear edge of the truck bed.
You then would use the hitch to place the front rail. You would do this by putting the hitch in the rear rail where it needs to be and then setting the hitch down into the front rail and installing it there.
