Can the Shank on Tow Ready Cargo Carrier # 63153 be Used in the Drop Position

I see that the bend in the shank raises the platform 2 1/2 inches. I have an 02 pathfinder with a 4inch lift and I was wondering if I reversed the install of shank if i could lower the platform 2 1/2 inches instead?

I am sorry, but the shank on the Reese cargo carrier # 63153 can only be used in the rise position, it would not be able to be installed with the shank reversed.

We do have a Curt cargo carrier, part # C18151, which has the same platform dimensions as the Reese carrier, but has a straight shank, so it would not be raised up from your hitch opening. This would probably work better for application.
