Troubleshoot 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500 w Integrated Controller that Doesn't Work with EOH Actuator
Question:
I recently purchased a new boat and trailer equipped with a brake rite system and it worked for a while and now only works sparingly. I know the truck is good because i towed a different trailer with electric brakes and the controller on the truck worked just fine and that trailer slowed down. The truck is a 2015 GMC Sierra 2500HD. I know the pump on my boat trailer brake system and the new battery works because when i pull the breakaway switch out, the pump starts running therefore applying the brakes, even when not hooked up to the truck. Could my white control module be malfunctioning? What can I do to test the system before i spend $225 on a new control module? Thanks.

Sounds like your controller just isn't compatible with electric over hydraulic brakes. This is a very common problem with integrated brake controllers. If yours has a EOH brake setting you will need to verify it is in that setting. Even then we still see factory controller just not want to work with the hydraulic setups.
The best and most consistent solution will be to replace your integrated controller with the P3 part # 90195. To install the controller will require the install harness part # 3016.
