Is HydraStar Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator Adapter Needed When Towing With Volvo Semi Truck
Question:
My trailer has electric over hydraulic brakes end of Carlisle brake cam installed as I used to pull with a Dodge Ram. I know tow my camper with a Volvo semi do I still need the brake cam.

The # HBA-CAM was designed to work with Ford, Dodge, And GMC/Chevrolet only and was for certain year vehicles with factory brake controllers. It was designed to work with the HydraStar electric-over-hydraulic brake actuator.
It is not needed with your Volvo you said you are using now.
You will however need a brake controller to use with your camper provided it has brakes. I recommend part # 90885. This is our most popular brake controller because it is easy to install and operate.
