I can help you outfit your 2014 Mazda CX-5 with a trailer hitch and bike rack.
I recommend the Draw-Tite Class III 2 inch Trailer Hitch # 76138, because the 2 inch hitch is compatible with more bike racks and other hitch accessories on the market than the smaller 1-1/4 inch receiver.
One of the most popular bike racks among CX-5 owners is the Thule Doubletrack Pro XT # TH92BJ. This platform style rack includes locks and can fold up against the rear of the vehicle for storage when empty. The rack is very versatile, it can handle all kinds of bikes with different frame configurations with wheelbases up to 50 inches weighing up to 35 lbs apiece. I'd recommend this rack because it includes all the locks needed to secure the bikes to the vehicle and the rack to the hitch.
Another great bike rack that can hold more than just 2 bikes is the Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR. This hanging bike rack will hold up to 4 bikes and can be upgraded to secure the bike rack to the hitch with # THSTL2 and the bikes to the rack with # e98891.
If any alternatively framed bikes, like many women's bikes, are being transported you will need the use of an adapter bar like # UB01.
I have linked to this page a few videos for you to check out, as well as the most popular bike racks according to our other Mazda CX-5 owners.
