Replacement Landing Gear Lead Leg Recommendation for 2005 Grand Junction Fifth Wheel

Question:

I have a 2005 Grand Junction fifth wheel. The clutch on the motor is kicking in I believe due to either bent leg, or worm gear issues. It is on the mountain, and I am not but need to go back up there to fix the issue. Id like to see if you all know what the OEM equipment is . It originally has a lead and follow set up. But I had a big Gen installed and the cross over would no longer fit so the dealer installed another lead leg on the passenger side, which is the one that is not working. But it looks to be identical to the original one on the drivers side. I am wondering if the Stromberg leg is what is usable for replacement for this fifth wheel. ? My gear box is a Venture my motor is atwood mobile and on the top lid of my landing gear inside is a decal with the following numbers: VMC900L-088996

Your trailer uses one of the many standard landing gear setups. Venture, Stromberg, and Lippert basically all make the same landing gear.

For a replacement landing gear lead leg you would want the part # LG-179013.
