Curt or Tow Ready Trailer Wiring Harness Recommendation for 2009 Toyota RAV4
Question:
I have a 2009 RAV4 Limited. I am buying a trailer hitch and see two wiring kits, 118412 and 56165. The both seem to work so my question is, what is the difference between the two?

There are two wiring harnesses available for your 2009 Toyota RAV4 that you mentioned. The Tow Ready part # 118412 and the Curt # C56165. Both are custom fit harnesses that will work well for you that are made by different manufacturers. Since we have better luck with the Tow Ready brand I would recommend the # 118412 which I attached an install video for.
