How to Lower a Weight Distribution System
Question:
Ive replaced my 2012 Tundra with a 2015 Silverado 2500 HD 4X4, and my Huskie round bar WDH is now too high for my Lance 2285 travel trailer. I need it to be at 21, and the lowest I can adjust it to is 23. So...is there an adjustable hitch that will fit the Huskie...and if not, what do you recommend to replace it? Tongue weight is 615 lbs., and dry weight of the trailer is 4,700 lbs. Thanks

You will need a shank with a larger drop to lower your Husky Weight Distribution System because the Husky Shank with a 5-1/2" rise and 1-1/4" drop will not work with your current trailer. I actually went out and grabbed your Husky weight distribution system and a few shanks to see what worked and what would give you the drop you needed.
After investigating a few shanks, the best one to fit your needs is the Equal-I-zer Weight Distribution shank # EQ90-02-4400. This shank will fit on your Husky Weight Distribution System and gives you around 3 more inches to drop your weight distribution system so it will fit with your trailer. This shank can support up to 1,400 lbs. of TW so it is compatible with your current Husky System.
I attached a review video of the Equal-I-zer Shank you may want to check out.
