Can the Sliding B& W Companion Fifth Wheel Hitch Fit on a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 8 ft. Bed
Question:
I have a 2005 Chevy 2500HD 6 1/2ft bed that I bought one of these for. I just purchased a 2010 Chevy 2500 HD with an 8 ft bed. Can the slider be used in the 2010 HD with the 8 ft bed. If not, why

Technically the B & W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # BWRVK3400-5W can fit on your 2010 Chevrolet Silverado, however, sliding 5th wheel hitches are only needed for short bed trucks. This is because 5th wheel trailers can easily hit the cab of trucks when a sharp turn is made while towing. This is because the hitch sits much closer to the cab compared to a long bed truck, like your 2010 Chevrolet Silverado.
We do have a B&W Companion Stationary 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # BWRVK3500-5W with the B& W Underbed Installation Kit # BWGNRK1067-5W. This is the same 5th wheel hitch you were looking at but it does not slide. However, you are more than able to use a sliding hitch on your long bed truck.
I have attached a review video of the B & W Companion stationary 5th wheel hitch you may want to check out. I have also attached a review video of the B & W sliding 5th wheel hitch you may find helpful.
