All of the trailer wiring harnesses that you could use on your 2001 Chevy Prizm are going to install the same way. They all require testing the tail light wires on the vehicle to find the functions and then splicing in the wiring harness wires accordingly.
There is one exception that does not require splicing the wires though you will still need to test the vehicle wires for function first. I recommend the ZCI harness # 119250KIT. With it you will just clamp its connectors around the appropriate tail light wires and it will sense the electricity passing through them.
The ZCI harness is a powered harness and will require a power wire ran to the battery to power the trailer lights. This also takes the stress off of the vehicle tail light wiring and adds another level of circuit protection.
If you don't mind splicing wires you can use # 119178KIT.
