Will Installing Hitch on 2009 Acura TSX Prevent Car From Being Jacked Up

I have a 2009 tsx, and searched that the C11496 model hitch is compatible, my question is Can I continue to jack my car up with the hitch installed? Since the tow hook is the jacking point for the car.

The Curt I hitch, part # C11496 would be an excellent choice for your 2009 Acura TSX.

The tow hook would be used to winch the vehicle up onto a flatbed tow truck, but it isn't used as a jacking point according to the owner's manual. The jacking points for your TSX are on the frame rail directly behind the front wheels and right in front of the back wheels. I found this on page 461 of the online copy of the owner's manual in the 'changing a flat tire' section.

Because of this, you wouldn't need to use the hitch as a jacking point (the hitch manufacturers DO NOT recommend using the hitch as a jacking point).
