Concern for Axle Alignment When Installing Lippert Components Bolt-On Shock Mount Kit
Question:
Is there any danger of messing up the axle alignment during this installation? Once you loosen the existing bolts and bracket could the axle move position? Thanks

There is no concern about messing up the axle alignment while installing the Lipper Components Bolt-On Shock Mount Kit # LC281255 that you referenced.
The axle may move a bit when you remove the existing U-bolt plate and U-bolts, but when you install the new plate and U-bolts, the spring seat on the axle will match back up with the nub on the bottom of the leaf spring to put the axle in the same place as it was before. This nub prevents the axle from being installed in a different position than it was previously and holds the axle and spring in place while traveling.
The # LC281255 kit is designed to fit 2-3/8 inch diameter axle tubes.
