Where Chain Hanger Brackets of ProSeries RB3 Weight Distribution Kit Would Install on Trailer Frame

Question:

I just got a large tent trailer with a very crowded tongue A-frame. I am about to place an order with you for the RB3 weight distributing system. I have looked all over your excellent site for the info on mounting this coupler. In order to mount the chain hangers, I need the dimension from the center of the ball to the center point of the chain hangers on the frame. Where am I missing this!?

The center of the chain hanger brackets would sit about 30 inches rearward of the center of the trailer ball. When the chains are connected to the lift brackets and the brackets are lifted, the chains should be straight up and down, not at an angle.

If something's in the way that would prevent installing the lift bracket so its center is about 30 inches rearward of the center of the trailer ball, you could use a bolt on bracket like # RP58305. Since these brackets aren't hinged, you'd need to use the trailer jack to raise both the trailer and the rear of the vehicle to remove the tension in order to remove or install the spring bars.
