Are the C-800 Replacement Lippert Motors Resistant to Water
Question:
I have Lippert jacks on a 2012 Jayco. Both have failed by what appears to be water intrusion into the motor from road spray. Are the replacement C 800 motors you sell more resistant to this type of failure? The ones I have are not protected well at all.

The C-800 jack motor part # LC138445 that you referenced is designed to be weather resistant meaning that under normal outside weather it would not fail. Unless you were driving in a hurricane these really shouldn't fail due to water intrusion.
The other possibility is that the motors just happen to be in a bad location. If they happen to be right in line behind the rear wheels of your truck and are getting a direct spray of water from the rear tires then you would want to find a way to move the jacks or find another way to prevent the direct spray of water.
