Activator Brake Controller Works But Display Only Shows 00 on 2002 Ford F-350
Question:
2002 F-350 Diesel I have had the controller since 2002 and it has worked fine for many years. However, when I hooked up today the control will not read a number when brakes are applied or manual override applied. Braking system is working its just that the controller registers 00 instead of a number like 2.5 or 3.0 or 3.5. Please advise ...

For a brake controller to last 14 years is great! But it might be time to put her out to pasture. The display obviously isn't reading out what it should which is going to make adjusting it difficult and begs the questions of what might stop working next. You wouldn't want to be out towing and have the controller fail. I recommend replacing the controller since the display can't be fixed anyway.
I highly recommend that you go with a proportional controller like the Primus # TK90160 which has the same guts as the original Prodigy brake controller which was one of the best selling controllers of all time. As you probably know one of the biggest differences between time delay controller like yours and proportional controllers is that proportional controllers have a specific angle range they have to be mounted within and they can't be turned or tilted to one side. I have linked a video on this controller as well.
