Is it Recommended to Go to a Smaller Wheel and Tire Size on a Trailer
Question:
My camper has 15 inch wheels that need replacing, can I downsize to a 13 inch wheel thats half the price and make up the difference in tire size?

The problem with going from a larger wheel size down to a smaller one is primarily that you lose a lot of weigh capacity when you do this and also the tire sizes for each wheel size don't both give you the same overall tire diameter. The 13 inch tires are much smaller than the 15 inch wheel tire sizes.
I would recommend you stick with the size you have.
I attached a chart that has all of the tire sizes we carry. You can see the overall diameters in the right column and the capacities in the column just to the left.
