Recommended 2-Bike RV-Approved 2-Inch Hitch Bike Rack for 40-Foot 5th Wheel RV
Question:
What would you suggest would be a good quality bike rack for a 2inch Square hitch receiver on the back of a 40 foot fifth wheel RV trailer. It needs to withstand the bounce and sway that happens with anything on the back end of a trailer like this. A two bike rack would be preferable.

The RV-rated 4-bike rack for 2-inch hitches that I most often recommend is the Swagman Trailhead # S63381. Even though this is a 4-bike model, it is still my first choice. This rack RV-approved, offers a substantial 100-lb total bike weight capacity, with a 35 per-bike limit. It provides a 9-1/2 inches of of clearance from the hitch pin hole. It weighs 30-lbs so its super easy to handle and fits both 2-inch hitches. Then check out the very reasonable price. If you want to you can add a cable lock # e98891 to secure the bikes to the rack.
The two linked articles may help you decide on the best option for your RV and for your particular bike styles.
If you prefer a platform style rack I like the Swagman Dispatch 2 # S44FR. The Dispatch includes locks for both the rack itself and your two bikes, it handles up to 3-inch-wide tires and wheelbases up to 52-inches, and provides a foot of clearance from the hitch pin hole. It also comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
