Suspension Enhancement for a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 With Smoother Unloaded Ride than Timbren
Question:
I have a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500, 4 wheel drive extended cab w/ short bed. I tow a 30 ft. travel trailer, I put the Timbren TGMRCKS kit on and it handles the trailer weight ok but bounces on road dips and when empty rides rough on bumps. Will air bags help or new rear shocks when empty? I have a bad back so a smooth ride empty would help a lot ..

For some vehicles the Timbren's can provide a rougher ride quality when unloaded. If I had known you had a bad back in the original answer I sent you I would have steered you towards a different suspension kit like an air system that allows you to remove or add air depending on the support needed.
Adding an air system now would do you no good in terms of harshness as all it could do is add harshness. Now if you replaced the Timbren kit with the # F2430 you would be able to remove the harshness when unload by going down to 5 psi in the bags.
