Question:

I have a 94 GMC k2500 and have mesured the height of the tailgate and the height of the kingpin plate the differance was 18 inches. Will this hitch work as the height maximum looks like 17 inches for this product. If I order this product as a package would I need anything else. I have wiring and brake controller istalled. Thanks

You would want to go with a fifth wheel hitch that has a height range that will allow your trailer to be towed level. If you need 18 inches to allow the trailer to tow level you would need to go with a taller hitch than the part # RP30051.

The part # RP30047 would be a much better option that would also allow the trailer to tow level.

This hitch also has a cushioned head, a 360 degree jaw design, and a round tube slider that would operate much smoother than a square tube.

Between this and the rail kit part # RP30035 you mentioned you would be set.
