Parts Needed to Add 7-Way Connector and Install Brake Controller on 2011 Chrysler Town and Country
Question:
I have already purchased Curt wiring harness (C56150) from you and installed it on my 2011 Chrysler Town and Country. I have a trailer that has the 7 pole connector. The trailer has electronic brakes and I want to take advantage of that. Since I already have Curt wiring harness installed on my vehicle, what would I need to buy from you that would give me the 7 pole connector that I need so I can have electronic brakes installed for my vehicle? Keep in mind that I know I will need a brake controller and I am going to purchase part # 90195 from you to power that. Hopefully that all makes sense! If you would, email the response to me because Im not sure I will be able to find the answer once I get out of the question! Thanks so much!

Thank you for you support of etrailer.com!
Since you already have the Curt wiring harness installed on your 2011 Chrysler Town and Country, to set your vehicle up to control your trailer's electric brakes you will only need a trailer brake controller, like the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 that you referenced, and the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7.
The Installation Kit # ETBC7 includes a 7-Way and 4-Way vehicle-side trailer connector that will allow you to plug your trailer's connector to your Town and Country. This 7-Way and 4-Way connector will plug into your vehicle's existing 4-Way connector that came with the wiring harness. The kit includes all of the wiring and hardware needed to finish installing the new vehicle-side connector and making the needed wiring connections. Also included are the parts and wiring needed to install the Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195.
An article that will help walk you through the installation process for the # ETBC7 kit is linked for you, as well as an installation video of this kit being used to install a similar brake controller on a vehicle similar to your Town and Country.
I have also linked a review video of the Prodigy P3 # 90195 for you. I highly recommend the P3 as it is a top of the line brake controller that will allow you to store your settings, offers 3 boost levels, performs continuous diagnostics, will protect your vehicle's battery, and has a easy to read, customizable LCD display.
