Fifth Wheel Hitch Installation Kit for 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500HD
Question:
Hello, I own a 2008 Chevy 2500 HD short bed. I use a pro series 30854 5th wheel hitch to pull my 2015 Keystone raptor toy hauler. I am looking for a replacement rail kit, would this part be the correct one for me? If not, which one should I choose? Thank you in advance

The Reese # RP30035 fifth wheel hitch install kit is confirmed to fit your 2008 Silverado 2500HD.
Keep in mind that a universal kit like this will require drilling into the truck frame, which can add a considerable amount of time onto the install. A custom kit is available as part # RP50064-58 that would use existing frame holes, which will shave quite a bit of time off the installation.
As you have a short bed truck, be sure the # RP30854 fifth wheel hitch head you're using is mounted to a slider like # RP30048 or # RP50024. Failure to use a slider can result in the front of the fifth wheel colliding with the rear of the truck cab.
If you don't already have a 7-way trailer connector installed in the rear of your fifth wheel, you can install one using part # 41157. I've linked you to some installation videos that you might find helpful.
