Replacement Hitch Recommendation for a 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500HD
Question:
I have a 2001 Chevy 2500 HD diesel , long bed , extended cab with factory trailer hitch. I have worn out the receiver and need to replace it. Will the recommended hitch fit in the same location/ position ? Does it come with the mount for the factory trailer plug housing ? Thanks

First I want to congratulate you on wearing out a trailer hitch. You must do some serious towing!
To answer your question the Curt Hitch part # C15312 that you referenced is an OEM replacement hitch for your 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500HD. You would be able to remove your factory hitch and install this in place of it.
For a mount to secure your 7-way to the lower bumper of your truck you would also need the part # PK12711U.
