Display of Tekonsha Primus Brake Controller Remains Illuminated After Vehicle is Shut Off
Question:
Is it normal for a tiny little light to be on at all times with the Primus Tekonsha installed in a 2011 Honda pilot? I just purchased this from your company and installed it with the wiring adapter also purchased from you have not hooked up my trailer but noticed a tiny little light like it. On the display of the Primus even when the keys are out. Thanks

The decimal point you're seeing is telling you that the controller is getting power. Because the circuit the controller draws power from isn't ignition switched, this is normal. The LED draws a miniscule amount of power. The vehicle would have to sit there idle for a few months before the battery was in any danger of being discharged. If it would ease your mind at all, you can always unplug the controller from the back when its not being used.
