I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Break Controller # 90195 for your 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe. I recommend this brake controller because it is easy to install and has 5 storable settings that can let you customize the controller for multiple trailers and varying loads. The Prodigy P3 also has a customizable LCD screen which will let you know how your break controller is working. This Brake Controller will work with your 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe and your electric brakes. I have attached installation instructions for you to look at.
To install the Prodigy P3 you will need a Plug-In Wiring Adapter # 3025-P. Simply plug one end of the adapter into your brake controller and then plug the other end into your the built-in harness beneath your truck's dash. Splicing your vehicle's wires is not needed to set up your break controller with this plug-in wiring system.
I have attached a review video of the Tekonsha Break Controller you may want to check out.
