The base plate that is compatible with the 2005 Ford Mustang and the Falcon 2 tow bar is the Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit with Removable Arms # 4404-1. This custom base plate is designed to perfectly fit your Mustang and has removable drawbar arms that allow you to maintain the look of your vehicle when not towing. These base plates may require you to trim the lower fascia for installation. The installation instructions are attached for you.

For wiring, I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 because it will include the wiring, diodes, and extension needed to wire your Mustang for flat towing and to connect the wiring to the tow vehicle. This kit will allow you to use the Mustang's taillights while flat towing. You can splice into the factory wiring system so the taillight's function in sync with those on the tow vehicle or motor home. The diodes prevent the Mustang's signals from back-feeding to the motor home.

Most states now require the vehicle being towed to have a supplemental braking system installed in the vehicle. I recommend the SMI Stay-IN-play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251. This system will not need to be installed and removed each time you flat tow, as it has a permanent installation. This system offers automatic, proportional braking to stop your Mustang at the same rate your tow vehicle is braking.

Based on my research, to flat tow your 2005 Ford Mustang the transmission needs to be placed in Neutral, the maximum speed is 35 miles per hour, and the maximum distance is 50 miles. I was able to find this information on page 142 of the online owner's manual.
