Does Engine Have To Be Running For Emergency Flashers To Work And Will Trailer Lights Flash
Question:
does my veichle have to be running for flashers to work or is it good enough to just have the ignition turned on? And is there a delay before lights work after car is running. I have a 17rd clipper trailer by coachman and pulling it with a Hundai Santa Fe. Thanks for your help

If you turn on the emergency flashers in your Santa Fe, the lights on the trailer should also flash. That is assuming everything between the vehicle and your trailer is wired correctly. The engine does not need to be running for the flashers to work.
The trailer wiring harness you need on your 2012 Santa Fe depends on whether the vehicle has the factory tow package.
If you have the tow package the wiring harness I recommend is part # 118258. If you do not have the tow package I recommend is part # 118415.
