Replacement Pin Box for 5th Wheel Trailer with Lippert 0719 Pin Box
Question:
I have a 5th wheel with a 15,000 lb rating that was manufactored in 2004. I am looking to upgrade the King pin, the sticker with the model # is faded. It appears to read L1PP1621, the dimensions match the Lippert 1621 except for the length from the King pin to the bolt holes. The distance for my King pin is about 8 3/4inch shorter than what is listed for the 1621. My question is whether it is ok to use a King pin box that would replace the 1621 even though that would extend King pin 8 3/4inch further from the 5th wheel?

Based on the measurements you have provided it sounds like you have a Lippert 0719 pin box which has identical measurements as the 1621 pin box except that the king pin to first row of bolt holes is 9 inches which is exactly 8-3/4 inches shorter than the 1621.
I have included a link to the replacement pin boxes that will fit in place of the Lippert 0719 pin box. For a regular air ride pin box the Lippert Flex Air, # LC328484, is a popular option.
