Where to the Lift Brackets Install Along a Trailer Frame for Pro Series Weight Distribution Systems

Question:

I have a Nissan Frontier 4x4 and I am buying a Forest River Vibe 224rls. I want to find a good hitch and sway set up but have noticed lots of comments about the brackets being interfered with by the LP tank mounts. Is there any way to measure this trailer to make sure that hitch will work, or is it easy to modify the system or tank mounts to allow the fit.

If you measure from the center of the ball cavity on the trailer coupler back along the frame rails 30 inches that is where the center of the lift brackets will be for the Pro Series weight distribution system # PS49582. The brackets themselves take up 5 inches of the frame. So the frame will need to be clear 27-1/2 inches to 32-1/2 inches back from the center of the ball cavity.

In the event that a propane tank mount is in this area I recommend using chain hangers # RP58305 that will bolt to the sides of the frame rather than clamping around the tops of the frame rails. I do not advise modifying the lift brackets or the propane tank mounts to get the brackets to fit.
