Base Plate Kit Recommendation For 2014 Honda CR-V to Use with Roadmaster Stowmaster Tow Bar
Question:
Hi, We have a stowmaster 5000 tow bar. Which of these would be compatible with it, Roadmaster EZ4 or EZ5 for a 2014 Honda CRV?

You would want the EZ4 base plate kit part # RM-521567-4 that is confirmed as a fit for your 2014 Honda CR-V as it would be compatible with your Roadmaster Stowmaster part # RM-501.
For tow bar lighting you would then want the Hopkins kit part # HM56304 which has been confirmed as a fit too.
Fuse(s) must be pulled during towing. Please check owner's manual
If your owner's manual says to only pull the #19 ACC radio fuse, use part # RM76511; if it states to pull the #19 ACC radio fuse and the #20 ACC key lock fuse, use part # Fuse(s) must be pulled during towing. Please check owner's manual
And finally, most states now require supplemental braking in the vehicle being flat towed. The easiest system to set up and use is the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR, that applies the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles. You will also want the outlet kit part # RM-9332.
Most likely you will also need a high low adapter so that the tow bar will be level when you are flat towing. I attached a link to a page that has all of the ones we carry.
I have included a couple of helpful links to our articles on flat towing for you. Be sure to consult the vehicle owners manual for more specific information on flat towing your vehicle.
