Do All Weight Distribution System Frame Brackets Attach 30 inches Back from Coupler Ball Center
Question:
Is Sway control bracket positioning on weight distribution hitches always 30inch from the receiver? Ideally i would be able to place the sway control bracket around 34inch from the receiver.

Expert Reply:
Nearly all weight distribution frame brackets are going to install right at 30 inches from the center of the coupler ball back on the frame. If this causes an interference issue the easiest fix is typically to go with a set of bolt on frame brackets like part # RP58305 for Reese systems. Since these bolt to the side of the trailer frame they do not require clearance above the frame like most clamp on style brackets do.
