Upgrading Lippert Equalizers with a Dexter EZ-Flex System on Lippert 2,500 Pound Axles
Question:
My North Trail trailer has a GVWR of 4900 lbs and has two Lippert 2500 lb GAWR rated axles. I would like to upgrade the stock equalizers with the Dexter EZ-Flex system. The stock equalizer measures 6-3/4inch long bolt hole to bolt hole and uses shackles with 2-1/4inch bolt hole spacing. The length of my stock equalizers dont seem to fit the range of any of the upgrade kits, is there something that will work?

You are right, none of the EZ Flex systems or EquaFlex systems have the proper measurements or range to fit in place of 6-3/4 inch equalizers but I do have an alternative solution for you. You could install a shock kit # LC281255 if the axles are 2-3/8 inches in diameter.
If that will not work then to use the EZFlex system you would have to move the front hanger forward 1/4 inch and the rear hanger back 1/4 inch in order to get to the widest measurement compatible with system # K71-652-00. Otherwise the suspension would not be able to move properly and could get bound up.
